Construction of 20 semi-jackets, 20 Upper blocks + 20 TPs, fixed foundations to support 9.5 MW offshore wind turbines for the Moray East offshore wind farm, contracted by Smulders to Navantia.
WindWaves participates as the main subcontractor of Navantia. The work is carried out entirely at Navantia Puerto Real, being the first series project of jackets to be carried out in Puerto Real.
WindWaves was responsible for:
- Developing the entire construction strategy of the project
- Coordinating all logistics, reception, and material control
- Developing all assembly, welding, dimensional control, NDT, and painting procedures for the jackets
- Assembly of the lattice structure of the Upper blocks
- Prefabrication and assembly of the 20 transition pieces
- Fabrication and assembly of all secondary structure of the project
- Scaffolding and painting of all structures
- Quality control of the entire project
