4 FIXED GRAVITY-BASED INSTALLATION UNITS.
WindWaves participated as the main subcontractor of NAVANTIA, carrying out the prefabrication and assembly of components for these 4 "mini jackets" that Navantia manufactured for the Nissum Bredning field operated by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
These were 4 post-piled jackets anchored in a bay very close to the coast.
WindWaves was responsible for the following tasks:
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Logistics for material reception
- Development of welding procedures
- Assembly of various primary components supplied by Navantia
- Fabrication and assembly of secondary structure
- Dimensional control and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
- Painting of the structures
- Quality control
