1 semi-sumergible floating unit out of a total of 3 that comprise the Windfloat Atlantic park with 8.4 MW turbines WindWaves participated as the main subcontractor of Navantia in the assembly works of the various columns, bracings, and secondary structure for this semi-submersible platform that Navantia manufactured at the Navantia Fene shipyard.
WindWaves was responsible for the following tasks:
- Process Engineering
- Logistic control and material reception
- Quality control of the entire assembly process
- Joining works of semi-columns and bracings
- Prefabrication and assembly of WEPs, Boatlanding, and assembly of the rest of secondary equipment
- Platform painting
- Dimensional control and NDT works
- Scaffolding of the structure
